Introducing…Candy Says

It is always a precarious thing when a band or an artist is recommended to you. With such wildly varying tastes you can either run the risk of absolutely hating the recommendation, sneering at in and in a sense losing a friend in the recommender.

This is certainly not the case for the latest band to come out of Oxford, Candy Says. The quartet is made up of Juju, Ben Walker, Eliza Zoot and Mike Monaghan whose melting pot charisma has produced a rather likeable and quirky sound.

Melt Into The Sun, the debut single from Candy Says is a charming song with a rather unusual yet interesting arrangement and amalgamation of sounds. After just one listen the melody is trapped in your head along with the distinct vocals and accompanying whistle. Surely this is enough of a token of a good song?
